5 Facts You Need to Know About Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 Game Overview

Forza Horizon 5 has officially been released! If you’re a fan of open-world racing, then you’ll love this latest installment in the Forza franchise. In celebration of the release, here are five facts about Forza Horizon 5 that you may not know but definitely should know before starting up your game console. Read more to find out more!

The game supports cross-play between Xbox One and PC

Microsoft has now enabled cross-play between Xbox One and PC players for a small selection of games. This allows players from both platforms to play together, although it still restricts cross-platform gaming to one game per developer per platform. With over 2 million active users on Steam, that’s potentially 2 million new friends to race against! For a game to support cross-play with Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One consoles, developers need only flip a switch in their games and verify that it will work as intended. It’s as simple as that—no additional code required.

Each version has exclusive cars

One of my favorite things about each version of Forza is its exclusive cars. You can only get cars by buying a particular game or purchasing in-game currency. It gives me something else to look forward to. I like knowing that no matter what version I own, I’ll be able to drive around in some sweet rides from each game in future installments of my favorite racing franchise. So let’s talk about these five facts.

The game includes an in-game storefront

It’s not entirely clear how in-game transactions will work just yet, but it seems that players can make purchases from an in-game storefront. This could be a double-edged sword for any players looking to use microtransactions in order to improve their performance and gameplay experience; even if you’re just buying items for cosmetic improvements, it’s possible that these features could give users who want an advantage over other players a way of getting what they need. We’ll have more details on how exactly in-game transactions work when we know more.

Players will earn in-game rewards that are rewarded regardless of the platform

This is an excellent way for Microsoft to make amends for its lack of cross-platform play. If you play on Xbox One, you’ll still be able to earn rewards and credit that can be used within other games, like Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 . It’s a massive win for Xbox gamers who want access to all of Microsoft’s games. This is likely just the first step; hopefully, there will be more opportunities in future titles.

The game will release on October 2, 2018

Microsoft hasn’t announced pricing for Forza Horizon 5. We know it will be released on Xbox One and Windows 10, though. Those who own an Xbox Game Pass subscription can play Forza Horizon 5 when it launches, but they’ll need a different version of the game than those who don’t own a subscription. On top of that, anyone with an active Xbox Live Gold membership can play Forza Horizon 4 in September. But again, you won’t be able to play after October 2 if you don’t have a Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold membership.
